Refrigerating Technology
CATS:EMF, EMF Cooling And FreezingCompressors
The compressors are sturdy, semi-hermetic units with integral circuit allowing efficient part load operation of any refrigeration requirement at low power consumption owing to automatic performance control. A long and fail-safe life span of the refrigeration unit, also at extreme charge, is achieved by additional standard components, e. g. liquid separator and incorporated oil return system protecting the piston compressor.
Machine housing
The whole refrigeration unit is manufactured as a low-noise machine; it is supplied in a compact, ready-to-install, weatherproof, galvanized and painted housing. This saves a considerable amount of assembly cost on site.
Air coolers
The air coolers consist of a copper pipe and aluminium fins; they are equipped with an electric on-demand defrosting system with economically dimensioned capacity. The air coolers have standard high-range nozzles; this excludes dead zones of air circulation. Furthermore the air coolers have incorporated heated condensate outlets, i. e. the condensate is discharged directly from the refrigeration cell without icing.
Control
Control is done separately for each deep-freeze room by electronic control; in this way the exact temperature is granted. Cost of operation is minimized by an on-demand defrosting unit..
Switch cabinet
The electronic control of the whole refrigeration unit is housed in a so-called switch cabinet inside the machine casing of the refrigeration unit; this provides protection and allows easy access. The housing of the switch cabinet is equipped with an anti-freeze system for operation in winter and a ventilation system for operation in summer.
Condenser
A large-scale condenser with speed control for the fan motors reduces the power consumption of the com-pressors and consequently cost of power. Dynamically balanced fans provide a low-noise and calm operation of the units.
Piping
The piping is made of copper. The refrigerating pipes are coated with Armaflex insulation to avoid loss of power. Furthermore vibration absorbers are provided. They reduce the vibrations transferred from the refrigeration unit to the piping. Piping compensators are used for long pipes. Central and clearly arranged refrigerant pipes and electric lines in the inserted ceiling of the refrigeration cell, lodged on a special pipe support system, provide a perfect downward slope.
